Connect Your Marketing Accounts to Claude

Create a workspace, grant Google access, add the connector: three steps until Claude reads and updates your marketing accounts. With two prompts to get started.

Minutes from now, you query your marketing data directly in Claude. No exports, no dashboards, plain language.

You connect your accounts once. After that, Claude answers any question about campaigns, rankings and visitors, straight from your real data. And when you want, Claude also changes things: adds negative keywords, pauses campaigns, publishes articles. Always after your approval. This guide gets you to your first query in three steps.

What you need: a Google account with access to your marketing accounts, and a Claude account. That’s it. The trial is free, no credit card required.

Working with ChatGPT? The connector is model-agnostic. Connect Your Marketing Accounts to ChatGPT shows the setup there.

Step 1: Create a workspace and connect Google

Sign in to the portal at app.ads.honeyfield.at. Then three moves:

  1. Click “Connect with Google”. One approval covers five sources: Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, GTM and your Business Profile. You confirm the Google login once.
  2. Create a workspace. A workspace stands for one client or one account. Data stays cleanly separated, even when more clients join later.
  3. Assign the workspace its data sources. You pick the account, property and site from dropdowns. Claude later sees exactly what you assign here, nothing else.

✓ Checkpoint: your workspace shows the assigned sources.

Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, WordPress, Strapi, Clarity and DataForSEO join the workspace the same way later. Google is enough to get started. The portal’s “Getting started” page shows where to grant access and where the IDs live, with a short guide per source.

Step 2: Add the connector in Claude

Now tell Claude where your data lives. Stay in the browser where you are signed in to the portal: you will confirm the connection through exactly that login.

1. Open the Claude.ai settings and go to “Connectors”, in the left sidebar under “Customize”.

2. Click “Add” at the top right and choose “Add custom connector”.

3. Enter “Marketing-MCP” as the name, and below it this URL:

https://mcp.ads.honeyfield.at/mcp

The address sits in its own box because it can change. Copy it from here. Leave the advanced settings (the OAuth fields) empty.

4. Click “Add”. The connector appears in the list, not connected yet.

5. Click it, then click “Connect”. You land on the platform sign-in and approve access. From then on the connector knows your team and all its workspaces. If you are in several teams, you see their workspaces too.

Don’t mix up the accounts: what counts here is your portal account, not the Google email from step 1. You can register the portal account with any email; the Google connection is just the data grant behind it.

✓ Checkpoint: the connector shows “connected”, and you can enable it in a new chat.

For Claude Code and Codex: the Honeyfield plugin

If you work in the terminal with Claude Code or Codex, there is a faster route than step 2: install the connection as a plugin from the Honeyfield Marketplace. The plugin brings the MCP access and the ready-made marketing skills in one step — an interactive marketing menu, weekly report, SEO and Ads audits, ad copy and more. (The connector from step 2 would also be available in Claude Code automatically with the same account, but without the skills.)

/plugin marketplace add Honeyfield-Org/honeyfield-marketplace
/plugin install honeyfield-marketing-mcp@honeyfield-marketplace

Then restart Claude Code. /mcp shows the connection; on first access you confirm the sign-in once with your portal account. After that, start the marketing menu directly with /honeyfield-marketing-wizzard.

In Codex, the commands are:

codex plugin marketplace add Honeyfield-Org/honeyfield-marketplace
codex plugin add honeyfield-marketing-mcp@honeyfield-marketplace

All the details, more plugins and the full tool catalog live in the Honeyfield Marketplace on GitHub.

Step 3: Pick your workspace and ask the first question

Claude has no dropdown. You tell it in the chat which workspace you mean, like everything else. Get the list first:

Which workspaces do I have?

You get your workspaces with their handles, like client-a. The handle sets the workspace for this chat. The answer to it doubles as your first real query:

Use the workspace `client-a` in this chat.
Which data sources are connected there?

This is what the answer looks like on our own workspace: Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, GTM, Business Profile, Clarity, DataForSEO, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Strapi and WordPress. Eleven sources, we connected everything. Yours shows the sources from step 1.

If you only have one workspace, Claude picks it automatically. Then the second question is simply your source check.

✓ Checkpoint: if you see your source list, the connection stands.

From here, every further question is just a prompt. The best fourteen for everyday work are in Your First Prompts, from visitor trends to the search terms that burn money.

Reading and writing: from here, both work

The connection does more than fetch numbers. Claude reads your data, and it also changes it, if your workspace permissions allow writing. Reading happens right away. Writing always runs through your approval: Claude shows the proposal, you confirm, only then does it execute. New campaigns and ads are created paused until you release them.

What’s next

Take Your First Prompts next and try them on your freshly connected workspace. If your team works with ChatGPT, Connect Your Marketing Accounts to ChatGPT shows the same setup there.
